New Clifton office under construction
JANUARY 2011 – It's official – construction on the new home for the Clifton office of Group Health began with a groundbreaking ceremony Jan. 27. Completion of the 65,000-square-foot facility is slated for summer of 2012.
The new medical office building, located on Good Samaritan Hospital's campus, and will offer a host of benefits to both patients and staff, including:
- Greatly expanded facilities: 90+ exam rooms, space for primary care and 18 specialties, an imaging center, physical therapy area, pharmacy
- Convenient patient access and an on-site parking garage
- Easy provider access to patients and surgeries at Good Samaritan Hospital
The more efficient workspace will allow Group Health to add 10-12 new physicians, with a focus on surgical-based specialties like obstetrics, gastroenterology and orthopedics. Approximately 30-35 new jobs are expected to be added within five years of opening.
"The new facility will provide Group Health Associates with a state-of-the-art medical center that will allow us to grow," said David Morad MD, president and chairman of the board for Group Health.
The new space is being designed to complement how a full-service multi-specialty physician practice operates in today's health care environment. The efficiency of the design will make possible the Group Health's plans for growth while also allowing the practice to remain true to its unique medical-center operational model.
Mayor Mark Mallory was on hand for the Jan. 27 groundbreaking ceremony. Mayor Mallory read a proclamation praising Group Health, TriHealth and Good Samaritan Hospital for commitment to quality healthcare and the community.
