Audiology/Hearing Aids

Audiologists at Group Health are trained health care professionals who evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage hearing loss and balance disorders in children and adults. GHA audiologists are also certified to evaluate related disorders, such as balance problems and tinnitus, ringing in the ears.

Disorders treated include: 

  • Sensorineural hearing loss (Nerve deafness)
  • Conductive hearing loss (Problems of the bones, eardrum or membranes)
  • Mixed hearing loss from both causes

Expertise in Audiology/Hearing Aids

Group Health audiologists have degrees from accredited universities. They hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. The department has expertise in the non-medical management of the auditory and balance system. This incorporates the prevention, identification, assessment and treatment of hearing disorders, including the evaluation and fitting of hearing aids.

Audiology and hearing aid services are available at four locations: Anderson, Clifton, Kenwood and Western Hills 

Hearing tests are available at two locations: Mason and Western Ridge
